This free course is designed to prevent fatalities and injuries in the roadway construction industry by providing an overview of the focus four hazards: falls, struck by, caught-in, and between hazards. This course was developed by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) and is offered in multiple locations.
Participants will learn:
- an overview of OSHA Focus Four,
- Fall prevention
- Struck by – Runovers and Backovers
- Caught in and Between -Heavy Equipment, Trenching & Excavation
- Electrical Hazards Indoors and Outdoors
- Prevention of heat-related illness and injuries
Robinson Vasquez has worked with ARTBA as a safety training and business development manager since 2012. He is an experienced trainer and business manager, with responsibilities for various safety training contracts and liaison with the Hispanic community in the USA and Latin America.
Before joining ARTBA, Robinson served as an attorney, specializing in labor and construction law in his native Peru. Robinson is a qualified ARTBA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and National Safety Council instructor and co-creator of different English and Spanish safety training materials.
