The Nevada LTAP is thrilled to embark on a Tailgate Talk series that provides the space and expertise to converse casually on a variety of topics. Our first talk will explore topics on Safety in the Work Zone; it will be led by Walt Catlett, P.E. CSHO of Catlett Engineering and Clear Creek Training. Mark your calendar for February 18th, at 8:30am, for an hour of interactive and engaging conversations. Grab a cup of coffee and a co-worker! Bring your own experiences and questions to enrich this virtual experience for all.

This Tailgate Talk is essential for flaggers, construction workers, engineers, traffic safety specialists, supervisors, and anyone responsible for setting up or working within traffic work zones.

Instructor:

Walt Catlett, P.E., CSHO

Walt Catlett possesses over 30 years of experience in urban drainage design, combined with over 30 years of safety experience.  He serves as the Safety Circuit Rider for the National Center for Rural Road Safety.  He helps manage Virginia’s Safety Circuit Rider Program.  He is the State Director for the Arkansas Concrete Pipe Association.  He also serves as the State Engineer for the Texas and Oklahoma Concrete Pipe Associations.  He serves on ARDOT’s Transportation’s Research Advisory Council. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.  Mr. Catlett served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Army Reserves for a combined 30 years.
