Flagger Training (Northern Nevada)

This course is scheduled for the following dates (limited to ten NVLTAP enrollees) at the Northern Nevada Laborers’ Training Center:

Laborers’ Local 169 sponsors this 4-hour certification course, which has been approved by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and covers procedures for flaggers working on NDOT projects. All flaggers on these projects must have a certification of training in their possession while working. Topics include:

  • Work zone hazards and safety;
  • State regulations;
  • Flagging personal protective equipment; and
  • Flagging procedures.

Flagger Training is an elective of the Road Scholar program.

Registration

Registrants must be a government-agency or unionized employee.

The fee is $85.

Flagger training is offered through the Laborer’s Training Trust. To enroll in a Northern Nevada session, a registration form and the acknowledged the rules of conduct must be signed by each employee.
